Curt has been in the executive search business for over 35 years, focusing on Investment Banking, Alternative Investments as well as Prime Finance. Serving as A-L Associates' CEO, he has established an extensive network of contacts and developed strategic partnerships with many organizations, assisting in their effort(s) to build-out sectors and/or improve existing platforms. Curt specializes at the Director, MD, and Group Head level within our Investment Banking and Capital Markets practices. Curt has extensive experience within Leverage Finance, Coverage, M & A, as well as Equity and Debt Capital Markets across both bulge bracket and middle-market/boutique firms.

He began his career as an accountant with KMPG working in their Audit and Consulting groups.

Curt holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Bernard M. Baruch College.

John Carley was recruited to A-L Associates in 2002. He was tasked with the responsibility of building out the firm's Alternative Investment practice. His primary focus was consulting/search work with hedge funds, fund of funds, as well as prime finance. John's initial engagements included Capital Raising/Marketing, Portfolio Management/Research and CFO/COO and General Counsel roles.

John currently serves as A-L 's President, while continuing to run the alternatives practice. He also heads and has expanded the firm's front office sales and trading efforts, across both fixed income and equities on the sell-side.

Prior, John worked for Robert Half International where he assisted in establishing the build-out of their banking/ brokerage division, hence expanding their product development into the financial services arena. Previously, John had worked for the Bank of New York, Societe' General, and Chase Mellon in middle office, relationship management, and trade finance roles.

John holds a Bachelor of Science from the
University of Rhode Island.

Michael joined A-L Associates in 2023, after 30 plus years on Wall Street at RBC Capital Markets, Barclays Capital, Lehman Brothers and JPMorgan. Michael spent the last decade as the Global Co-Head of Equity Capital Markets and the Head of U.S. Equity Capital Markets for RBC Capital Markets (“RBC”) and as a member of RBC’s U.S. Global Investment Banking Management Committee. Throughout his career, Michael was a capital markets banker working in Equity Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance and High Yield Capital Markets. Michael worked on more than 3,000 capital markets transactions for clients across industries and recruited and hired many senior bankers. Michael is an expert in the management and strategy of the investment banking industry, maintains extensive candidate contacts, and works closely with employers and candidates throughout the search process.

Michael is highly-focused on recruiting senior investment bankers in the capital markets, industry coverage and derivatives groups.He assists organizations in identifying, attracting and retaining premier talent while helping individuals, as candidates, find opportunities to maximize their professional development.  

Michael received his MBA from Columbia Business School and B.S. in economics and statistics from Rutgers College.
